At Pacific Tech Construction, we have worked hard to develop a culture that promotes the safest workplace possible for our employees, subcontractors, site occupants, clients or anyone else in the proximity of our project area. We feel that this involves developing a deep personal commitment to safe working practices among every employee at every level.
We ensure compliance with our safety program in the field through project startup, weekly and daily safety meetings as well as inspections and an in-depth hazard communication program. Employees and superintendents receive regular recertification in basic and specialized safety training in addition to CPR and First Aid and their introductory safety seminars. Similarly, Pacific Tech uses the EM-385-1-1 Safety Manual as a guideline when constructing site specific safety plans and updating employee safety manuals.
Ultimately, the goal of our safety program is to ensure that each and every one of our employees, subcontractors and anyone else that comes in contact with our site goes home safe and injury-free at the end of the day. It is this focus on the human-element that has led to Pacific Tech’s experience modification ratio and safety incident rate remaining well below the industry average.
